Really enjoyed our conversation the other day Roo ~ We should catch up in that way again.

Last weekend I embarked upon Native American Church Ceremony where within the plant medicine we know of as Peyote was administered in tea form and in dry powder form. The ceremony is based around prayer and typically exists their a patient who is the hallmark of said prayers. It is my understanding that different groups of Natives that hold these ceremonies hold them in different fashions and forms. It is also my understanding that sometimes tradition may become skewed through the passing down of said tradition. At any rate, Lama Foundation, which is the community where I currently find myself dwelling, was the patient for this ceremony. My experience was mixed to say the least. I consumed 8 spoons of the powder and 5 cups of tea which seemed to be a moderately high dose relative to what others were taking. The ceremony is very strict ~ you are not allowed to express yourself and there were times where I found myself rocking a little bit to the beautiful music and felt this energetic clash of perhaps acting out of line. There were moments where the prayers transported me into a realm of dancing rainbow color waveforms laced with Love ~ other moments where I felt pretty intense darkness and indifference. It was an interesting opportunity to remain neutral and to remain in the Teepee even though I wanted to leave so badly and experience the stars ~ or explore inner realms. At any rate ~ it was a 50/50 experience from my POV. Today, though... it seems I have another opportunity within entirely different circumstances.
I've typically replaced prayer with intention as in some ways I do not understand prayer. There is a way in which I perceive prayer as involving oneself in something you have no business being involved in. This understanding of mine is transforming ~ especially as a result of catalyst being offered back to back.

Hello Family,
Frank and my (Mary) teacher is coming to town and will hold an all night grandFATHER ceremony. This is the second e-mail that has been sent out, but our invite list was incomplete, so some of you may be receiving this for the first time. If so, I apologize for the short notice. Please contact me if you have questions or need clarity. I am happy to describe the ceremony in greater detail by phone (x).
As I'm sure you are aware, the times have been very intense with a lot of energetic support available for transformation- individually and collectively. It seems there is already major change taking place within each of us, in our communities and cultural institutions and within the Earth Herself. So...it feels like a good time to pray. The intention of this ceremony is to honor our connectedness as spiritual family and to provide the opportunity for each of us to pray for guidance...to allow Spirit to instruct us on how to serve in the highest way during this challenging time of transformation.
Thank you.

I cut most of the letter out for relevance. It seems as though this ceremony is an entirely different monster and is being led by a women .. which is in stark contrast to the Native American Church Ceremony. I must say.. I am ever grateful for this continued opportunity of exploration of consciousness.
The main intention of this post other than to share my journey is to ask if you have any prayer requests. I will be holding the usual suspects in heart & mind to the tune of perfect health and whatever else may come up. Thanks for reading.
