What do these mean to you?
« on: August 30, 2010, 10:04:10 AM »
I am intrigued by this. What do the "wave" symbols mean to each of you and for what reason/s do you use them in your posts?

 :wave2:

To me they represent the phrase "next" or "case settled" or something ahaha.. seriously I don't know what they mean.. that's why I am asking..

 :peace:

Lol im sensing double meaning here.. going to keep my middle self's interpretation surface level..

Obviously cool! because when you hover the mouse pointer over it it says "cool1".. haha.. and the wave ones are just "wave" so..

Ok, maybe I asked because I was interpreting the meaning of it in a kind of limiting way, and by seeing other perspectives it can help me to break out of that particular interpretation and widen my own perspective lol..

I sometimes wonder what would of happened during my "dark days" if I had just opened up to somebody and explained to them how I was perceiving things. I kept it all inside see because I was too scared to even talk really.. I could not express myself. Too much inner friction and instant self reflection (filtered through fear). If I had only opened up my friends could of "snapped me out of it" you know? Told me I was being paranoid and delusional and help to get grounded.. but no.. I kept quiet and they all had no idea what was going on inside of me.. hmm.. the past.. learn from it.. but also I guess it was kinda cool that I learnt everything again from scratch on my own.. empowering..

No double meaning intended. Simply put, In this life per se I've experienced "the good the bad the ugly". At one point i remembered to stop forgetting what i forgot and i realized how perfect every single moment of this all is. If you could even glimpse for a minute who you really are and how powerful you are and how you sculptured every minute of this experience than you might just have an inner peace that can't be taken away.

It is as complicated as you desire to make it.

Yeah I've had short periods of inner peace that obviously weren't rooted deep enough because certain perspectives brought up feelings of doubt and shattered my satori. I'm talking about stepping out of ego.. not "returning" to higher planes or anything. Anyway, first time I felt this it lasted for a few days until I read a quote by Leary that went something like, "we had all the bells and whistles.. the mind trick of seeing things from the point of view of eternity".. Lol - I thought "this is kind of what I am doing" and that thought kind of snapped me back into my mind and playing with mental models and crumbled my "knowingness" or whatever.

But yarr..  sometimes I think "I know" but eventually that state wanes.. but man even today I've learnt so much lol.. synchronicites, revelations, etc.. tiss all gawdd..

symbols that mean nothing, some symbols carry a collectively established meaning, some add a different meaning, some are confused when you use a symbol using a different application, some understand when you explain your meaning, some think you're weird and crazy, some disrespect you for your use of symbols, other acknowledge your weirdness and still love you, still, at the end of the day, nothing, IMHO :)

Yes, every time.  :D

But who do you consider your family to be? Did you intentially exchange the word "our" for "my" to foster interest or are you simply being cheeky?

Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about
