I can't decipher it through reading near-death experiences anymore. They all contradict each other god dammit, some say there is a plan while others say we're here on a mission to learn. WTF.

The reasons are personal. You have your own plan or reason for coming. There is no set goal or plan. Life on earth is about experiencing. What you choose or want to experience is up to you.
