Has there ever been an attempt at communicating the other way? As in getting permission from a farmer to put in a precise emblem, codex, sigil, with a gps guided tractor to see if there is an answer given. I mean there was a response to the arecibo transmission, why not something done in the same medium as the circles themselves, ie, in real time in cereal.
This makes good anthropogenic sense, it might be the equivalent of a kindergarten child giving its parents a first attempt at writing or painting but it is endearing because of it. And whats the first thing you do when you learn a language? You mimic. Maybe it would be a heartening experience from the makers of these circles perspective if we made a copy of one of their more enigmatic creations as a way of saying a heartfelt hello, rather than assuming they would be more interested in high tech transmissions of whatever kind.
I like jelly fish. Where I used to surf when I was a wee bairn, in the throws of winter was very cold, southern australia and the roaring forties and all, humongous jelly fish would be gouged out of the depths by longreach groundswells and be blown in by prevailing winds. And I mean huge, as in three metres across and a metre thick and solid jelly and burgundy tenticles like a dancers boa wrapped around it. They looked all the world like giant floating brains.
