so true ....reminds me of Machaelle Wright who started Perelandra Gardens - She started a garden and was contacted by what she called nature devas. She saw the damaged that pests such as beetles were doing to the plants. The nature devas taught her to give a small portion to the beetles and ask that they use only that portion.
this is what happened. The rest of her garden was left alone.
She shared so many insights that a natural relationship with nature in respect and acknowledging the web of life. - although she didnt call it that.
She honored the beetles existance to live, and made contact with them - came to an agreement which was followed by both she and the beetles. She listened to the beetles plight. There was a great healing for both.
When there was a drought, only her garden flourished.

To honor the insects and frogs snakes etc she set up parts of her garden especially for them and this agreement has been honored and has grown in its understand and beauty.
We would calls this honoring the web of life and sacred hoop of life
