UFO's in Paintings
A cave paintings from Tanzania, estimated to be up to 29,000 years old. This depicts several disc shaped objects.
This cave painting is c.10,000 BC and is from Val Camonica, Italy. It appears to depict two beings in protective suits holding strange implements.
Petroglyphs dating back thousands of years ago by ancient Indians in the American Southwest. According to Indian folklore, two objects collided high in the sky and one crash-landed in the region of Death Valley. Some men arrived (presumably in another ship) and spent some time repairing the damaged craft and were observed by the local Indians.

In Egypt there exists a star clock for the Precession of the Equinoxes and an electric light bulb that dates to 2600 BC. An electric battery was discovered in a rock carbon dated approximately 500,000 years ago
Strange suited figure found in Kiev. It dates to ca. 4,000 BC.
UFO Sighting over Angers France, in 842 AD (artist and date unknown)
These images from the 12th century manuscript "Annales Laurissenses" (Latin for "volumes" or "books" about "historical and religious" events) depicts the Saxon siege of Sigiburg Castle, France, in the year 776. The Crusaders had the medieval French completely surrounded when the "flaming shields" suddenly appeared in the sky; (the manuscript reports this as being over a church). Assuming the French were being protected, the Saxons fled in fear from the UFOs.

Sphere resembles a Montgolfiere (hot-air baloon) - but there were no balloons 14th centurey France. Notice also: several daylight stars, the monstrous faces in the rocks and the men are offering seeds?
14th Century Tapestry
Frescos throughout Europe which reveal the appearance of space ships in the skies including this painting of 'The Crucifixion' - painted in 1350. It seems to depict a small human looking man looking over his shoulder - at another UFO as if in pursuit - as he flies across the sky in what is clearly a space ship. The leading craft is decorated with two twinkling stars, one reminiscent of national insignia on modern aircraft. This paintng hangs above the altar at the Visoki Decani Monestary in Kosovo, Yugoslavia.
The Miracle of the Snow by Masolino Da Panicale circa 1400 (right) from Florence, Italy ~ in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, depicting Jesus and Mary on very non vaporous "lenticular clouds" (flat and circular), or accompanied by an armada of flying saucersstretching beyond the horizon.
The painting above was done by Carlo Crivelli (1430-1495) and is called "The Annunciation with Saint Emidius" (1486) and hangs in the National Gallery, London. A disk shaped object is shining a pencil beam of light down into Mary's crown chakra. A blow up of the object is next to the painting.
A fourteenth century fresco of the Madonna and Child depict on the top right side the image of a UFO hovering in the distance. A blow up of this fresco reveals tremendous details about this UFO including port holes. It seems to indicate a religious involvement between UFO's and the appearance of the Christ Child.
15th Century Artwork
This is a tapestry called Summer's Triumph It was created in Bruges in 1538 and presently resides at the Bayerisches National Museum. You can clearly see several disc shaped objects in the top of the tapestry.

This picture shows a UFO sighting over Hamburg, Germany The objects were described as 'two glowing wheels' - November 4, 1697 - Wheels - Spoked Wheels.
17th century fresco of the crucifiction - Svetishoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta, Georgia. Note the two saucer shaped craft on either side of Christ. In the two blow ups you can see that they contain faces. Certainly ancient UFOs were associated with the highest of divinity but were the requisite lights also thought to be the eyes of angels?
A disk shaped object is shining beams of light down on John the Baptist and Jesus - Fitzwilliam Musuem, Cambridge, England - Painted in 1710 by Flemish artist Aert De Gelder. It depicts a classic, hovering, silvery, saucer shaped UFO shining beams of light down on John the Baptist and Jesus. What could have inspired the artist to combine these two subjects?
The above illustration depicts a sighting that occurred at 9.45pm on the evening of 18th August 1783 when four witnesses on the terrace of Windsor Castle observed a luminous object in the skies of the Home Counties of England. The sighting was recorded the following year in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society. According to this report, witnesses observed an oblong cloud moving more or less parallel to the horizon. Under this cloud could be seen a luminous object which soon became spherical, brilliantly lit, which came to a halt; This strange sphere seemed at first to be pale blue in colour but then its luminosity increased and soon it set off again towards the east. Then the object changed direction and moved parallel to the horizon before disappearing to the south-east; the light it gave out was prodigious; it lit up everything on the ground. The image was captured in this by Thomas Sandby (a founder of the Royal Academy) and his brother Paul, both of whom witnessed the event. |
